A grown-up first
Each child has an account of their own. You make it; they sign in to it.
Kept as the grown-up for this account. Never shown to the child.
I'm their parent or guardian, and I accept the privacy notice. We store only a nickname, a birth month and year, a username and your email.
I agree to the online helpers: the tutor's voice comes from ElevenLabs (or Microsoft's Azure speech service when it cannot), and its own words, plans and photo help from Claude, made by Anthropic. They are sent the lesson with my child's nickname and age. Claude is also sent the notes I write for the tutor, how my child did in their tests and lessons, the answers they get wrong, and any homework photo. Either can be switched off in Settings, under For grown-ups.
The grown-ups' PIN: four digits. It keeps the account and the online helpers out of small hands, on every device they use.
A first name or nickname is plenty. It's only used to greet them.
A month and a year are enough to know their school year. We'll start there and adjust as they go.
They can change tutor, and choose their clothes, in the app.
The tutor plans their first test and lessons from these and their birthday. You can leave it empty.
3 to 20 letters, numbers or _. It is how they sign in, and it never changes.
Not their real name: a made-up one is safer.
At least 8 characters. Something they can remember.
